Why The World Needs Anthropologists 2019

01/08/2019

Seminario

Between October 2019 25th and 27th, Sustaining Cities engages the hands and minds that build our cities with a view to inspire and incite action, foster fruitful collaborations and exchange ideas and practices towards participating actively in the cities that we live, build and work in. In collaboration with The University of Oslo and the Polytechnic University of Milan, and hosted by the European Association of Anthropology’s Applied Anthropology Network, eminent speakers from across architecture, urban planning and applied anthropology from Snøhetta, the Harvard school of Design, The National Museum of Denmark, Human Cities (London) and more come together in Oslo for two days of inspiring talks, hands on workshops, burning discussions and hotspot stands to meet your next employer or hot talent in the heart of one of Europe’s youngest, greenest cities. Calling all designers, urbanists, planners, architects, applied anthropologists and enthusiasts to re-frame the future of cities around the world!

As part of this, on October 7th a satellite event will be held at the School of Design of Politecnico di Milano, as part of the course Design Narratives, LM in Integrated Product Design. For more information about this and to join, please write to marzia.mortati@polimi.it.
